Hi, Hey, Hello, I’m Shay!
I’m an abstract painter based in Northwest Arkansas.
I deeply value freedom to play—it enables me to stay curious, be experimental, and intentional in my work. I create art that celebrates color and authentic expression. I like organic shapes and fluid lines, patterns and symbolism, and I love a nice interesting color palette! Many of these things are found in the work that I create.
There’s something magical about taking something you can only see in your head, sitting with it, and turning it into something physical that other people connect with, enjoy, and hang in their spaces. I’m doing more than just creating art, I’m giving you a front row seat into my inner world. So, it always feels special when people purchase these tiny pieces of my inner world.
I’ve shown in Europe, group exhibitions, and international art fairs in Miami, Florida, Palm Beach, Florida, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. All of which was made possible because of my belief that for every piece that I create, there’s someone waiting to see it and connect with it.
My work is an extension of the way that I move through life—balancing intention and intuition with a lot of curiosity.
